A great devotee of lord Shri Ram and Shri Hanuman ji, Rashtriya Sant Shri Chinmayanand Bapu idolizes great saint poet Shri Tulsidas. Chinmayanand was born as udayprakash on 4thdec’1980 in a brahmin family of a small village called Kalna located on the banks of holy river Ganga in district – Mirzapur, UP. It is said that upon noticing the dazzling glow on his face, a brahmin had predicted that this child would shine like a star and astound the world with his knowledge.

Shri Chinmayanand Bapu’s life for the past 20 years has revolved around swadhyay, meditation, discourses, katha vachan, religious education and welfare of people. He is a philanthropist national saint with a mission to propagate the ideals of hindu dharma and work for the welfare of people.

At a very young age of 9 years Chnimayanand Bapu developed detachment for this world. While listening to the Bhgawadgita katha as a young child of 9 years, Chnimayanand Bapu decided to pursue the path of spiritual evolvement and become a saint. Realizing that it would not possible to move forward on this path without the guidance of a knowledgeable guru, Chnimayanand Bapu took diksha (spiritual initiation) from shri shri 1008 Mahamandaleshwar sri Ram Kumar ji Maharaj. Along this path, he came to be known as Chinmayanand Bapu. he started reciting Ram Katha at a very young age and amazed everybody around him including his guru.

Under the directions and supervision of his guru, Chnimayanand Bapu acquired the knowledge of shastras (hindu scriptures), vedas, upnishadas and sankrit at Ayodhya. he also attained “ shastri” degree in sanskrit gramar in the year 2000. Seeking silence to pursue spiritual evolvement, Chnimayanand Bapu moved to Chitrakoot and meditated for years on the banks of Mandakini river. While surviving only on fruit and vegetables, Chnimayanand Bapu carried swadhyay (pursued self – learning) in the forests of Chitrakut. He has good command over Mahabharata, Shrimadbhagawadgita and Ramcharit Manas “Ramayan”.

He has set up his ashram, Chinmaya Dham at Haridwar. he is also associated with a number of other institutions including Radhe Krishna Mandir, Vijaywara Road, Hyderabad, shri Vaid Mandir, Ramkot, Ayodhya, and Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir, Mehmedabad, Kheda, Gujrat.

His live katha vachan and discourses are regularly telecast on various tv channels such as Astha tv, Sanskar, and Shraddha etc. besides, he addresses audiences all across the country throughout the year. His katha vachan and other programs are always happening at one or the other place in the country. He has delivered religious discourses on Ram Katha and Shrimadbhagwat katha in almost all the states of india.

He is highly acclaimed for his oratory skills and sweet singing voice. His deep devotion to lord Shri Ram & Shri Hanuman ji and melodious recitation of Shri Ram Katha and Shrimadbhagawadgita has won him over 100,000 followers across india. Shri Chinmayanand Bapu is completely merged in propagation of hindu religion and welfare of people. he has addressed audiences in over 16-17 countries across the world.
